why wise fundraising
About

What we do.
So many nonprofits, large and small, struggle with fundraising and communications issues that I not only can, but would love to help them with. So often the proverbial "plate" of nonprofit fundraising and leadership professionals has so much on it that tasks like
1. strategizing for how all of those things can work together to further goals or
2. applying some easy ways to make the communications content they are already churning out far more effective or
3. codifying a unified message for why their NPO is important and the best choice for people to support in their space.
We don't just provide them with a thoughtful and thorough way to think through what really works for all of these fundraising efforts, I focus on making all of their activities work together for greater impact. Then, for the parts of strategies that we see need implementation or training and coaching, we offer that too to help insure success.

Who we are.
I love having ideas, and turning ideas into actual strategies, but, after 16 years of work in Non-profit fundraising, I realized I liked the process of actually applying them and making them really work just as much. Working with committed people toward a goal, refining, adjusting, evaluating and refining again showed me that keeping a fire going and growing is just as rewarding as getting it started in the first place. Millions of dollars raised for vital causes later, I can even laugh about the ideas that didn’t work.
I’ve worked and produced results in every part of development, and the frameworks I’ve developed working with a myriad of agencies are tested- but also adaptable. Once a CFRE, acclaimed presenter and published author, my transition to consultant created even more opportunities for impact and utilizing my creative voice. And the we? It's all the people who either keep this running or our consultants I can turn to or refer to when i know they can help more than I can.
When I need a break from strategy for impact, I love cooking, Ozark hiking, camping, canoeing and playing music with my son here in vibrant Kansas City.
